Why We Exist
Strategy for the Few Who Shape the Many.
Power in commerce, culture, and capital has always consolidated around a small number of people and institutions who understood how to build lasting structure. Most founders, fund managers, and family enterprises are never taught how that actually works — so they build fast and structure later, if at all.
PMEA exists to close that gap early. We're a control-engineering and deal-structuring firm, not a generalist consulting shop. We work with founders under real pressure, fund managers balancing LP expectations against long-term vision, cultural leaders converting influence into lasting vehicles, and family-led ventures that need frameworks for equity, incentive, and control that will hold up under outside scrutiny.
Our approach draws on classical political-economy thinkers — Pareto, Mosca, Michels, Burnham, Ibn Khaldūn — translated into practical legal, financial, and governance tools. We reference them not for literary effect, but because their diagnosis of how structure and control actually function still holds, and most modern advisory frameworks have quietly forgotten it.
PMEA is led by Lumi Mustapha and operates at the intersection of law, capital markets, and strategy — based in Lagos, working across Nigeria, the wider African continent, and increasingly Gulf and international capital markets.
